Welcome to the best time of year to be a rider in Australia. Temperatures in our favourite part of the world are warmer than they were last month but we haven’t yet reached those scorching summer days.

Life in print is just as good. Goldfinger points the way on the cover along with Paul Bailey and Mick’s CVO Comparo. Are they the greatest H-D CVO Road Glide and Street Glide yet built? Of course they are but you need to have a read to see who prefers one bike over the other.

Former publisher and good bloke Brum built himself a Heritage Classic. The Essendon footy fan had to paint it black and red, and just had to title it Project Bomber. He’s injected a generous dose of blackness into this glorious bike.

Flicking through the mag you’ll soon find the poster and Australia’s first nine-second Bagger. That’s Alpha Performance Engines’ Mark Harris on his 143-cube FLHRXS.

Flip the poster over to see Bikecraft’s latest Rocker build – a truly great bike that shows off Brad’s building skills. From the cover, Pega Custom Cycles’ Goldfinger custom V-Rod shines in the hues of Root Beer and Gold.

Craig Pattison threw his leg over a 2020 H-D Ultima Limited for our first Quick Spin. Not a test but a quick spin, a bit like a test ride when you’re buying a bike.

From the sunshine state, Dave Cohen smuggled out pics of a foster fail from Gasoline Alley. The builder fell in lust with his Breakout build and now calls it his. There’s also the Ratster, a first-up build from second-generation builder Jack Magarry from up Brisbane way. Further north is Mt Isa and a beaut Bobber built by Dave Schraag.

The Benaraby All-Bike Drags happened with lots of smoke, noise and general mayhem. Another drag racing refugee by the name of Mark Grant has a killer Dyna Wide Glide. Well worth a look while you’re flipping pages.

Displaced Aussie Phil Heath spent A Day in the Saddle exploring Auckland and the local hills.

A group of Shovel-heads held a Shovelfest and Knackers lobbed in for that one. Not forgetting our first instalment of Project Interceptor where Mick and friends make it breathe deeper and stronger.

Doc Robinson hasn’t been idling away in his shed. Nope, he’s brought us some excellent Tech Torq questions and answers as well as walking us all through M8 cooling and venting options.

All of this and more. On sale 4th September, 2020.
